I have found that out to be true also.On thinking of my past some of my worse memories are because of losing my temper, but a fourth of those helped save my life. Strange. You have a good week and I wish the best for you.

Hello,  I do my best in my journey of life not to become angry because for me there is no good that comes out of it.

Have a great day my friend.

No need to thank me. It's my big mouth nature. I found it interesting. Truly interesting.I wish more would jump in, chime in,have their say and express themselves.

If they want to stay on the path of the black race, OK. Or if they wan to talk about the governments manipulation of the media. That's OK also. The title is black and as I stated, it could be black hat, black head zits, black shoes, etc. It's just discussing " black".

You mention we're all like family, well sort of, I guess that amounts to your point of view, again. I do agree that we should be able to get on here and say what's on our minds to a point. There is always a point. Just like the law.

If a person says they don't have a mean bone in their body, they aren't prejudice, they don't have a care in the world, I'll say bull. Refering to the paragraph above to a point. I think that we all have the same emotions. We are human. We are the same. Take anger, a person might not get angry when certain things are said, who knows why, maybe he/she is thinking about what to do next ,etc. But then gets a paper cut and tears the paper in anger or swats at mosquitos instead of letting them bite. That is still anger. Same way with the other emotions, we all have them to some degree.

I thank you for speaking your mind.

I wish more people would jump in. I though I was being careful with my wording because I know it's touchy, but when somebody can make 'that race' sound bad it's touchier than I thought. It was not my intention to speak mainly about the black race. That made me remember the saying" the road to hell is filled with good intentions".

When you are a part of bringing about a change, and you have friends in other races that you have been close to, friends with, and even call your brother it's a kick in the head and heart to have someone say you are a hypocrite. It's sort of like God hitting you in the head with a ball bat. I've had it worse than some blacks and better than most, I base this from many years. I do know what it is to be discriminated against, not by color but by clothing, people I associated with, mode of transportation, long hair, an earing, and because I smoked cigarettes.

Yeah, I make mistakes. I had an old guy, this was sometime back, of course, tell me a story. There was a person who applied for a job, the boss asked him how good he was. He stated that he was the best that he doesn't make any mistakes. The boss told him that he didn't have the job. the guy got upset, started yelling and screaming, and asked why not. The boss looked him straight in the eye and told him if you don't make mistakes you don't learn anything. The boss turned around and walked of. Oh, yeah, I've made them and a few timesI've gotten my bass kicked for it. But then again I've been first at doing somethings also.

It showed one thing. The question of why there isn't an open conversation about races. It shows why some people are afraid to open their mouths.

You don't want to know my opinion about women. Peak your interest, hahaha. Or hell my race. To be honest, I don't have a very high opinion of the human race.

We are getting better in some aspects and worse in others. Weighing of the scales. It reminds me of a time I was working for one of those temp type jobs. It was for a factory job. I was told it was on second shift and do I have a problem working for someone younger than me. I replied that if he knows his job, I don't have a problem with it. In other words his age made no difference, which if they were putting him as the foreman then he must know the job(or he was the bosses son). He knew the job.

I imagine there are some who have read these post wanting to say something but afraid, "if I do, then they won't like me or the won't speak to me", some who don't give two shakes one way or the other.

To be honest though I didn't bring it up! The title 'discussing Black' was there and I though, hey, there has been mentioned as to why people don't sit down and talk about race, do to Amus's comments and the professor getting hauled to jail.

So, why is this page blank? I'm not worried about what anyone thinks of me, I've been called everything in the book. So, I thought. I try to judge someone by what they do, how they behave, and their nature.

I have looked into my being to find out who I am. I don't kid myself. There are some parts of me I wish I could do better, others I need to let go. I look don't care what most people think, because I know how they are.

It's hard to keep on track but I try not to worry about things.I know some people who worry weeks , months, even years about something that lies ahead.I look at it that you don't need to worry about anything until that thing happens.... then it's to late. It's time to do something about it. Quirkie, yes, but it gets me by. Then there is the story that is in ' The Mystic Path to Cosmic Power '. Go ahead laugh. I smirk at it now days myself, but this one story stood out.

There were two monks who came to a stream. They stopped and rested for awhile.A woman came along the same path and stopped at the stream. They had a conversation and the monks found out that she was a prostitute. The monks decide the time was right to cross and go along their way. The prostitute asked if one of them would carry her across the stream. She didn't want to ruin he cloths. One monk said he'd carry her across the stream. He did and the monks were on their way. Down the road several miles the other monk told the kind monk that he shouldn't have done that that she was not pure. The kind monk says, " I carried her across the stream and let her down to be on her way. You are still carrying her!"

Oh, by the way Anonymous40784,. I agree with you about being straight forward, bold, and honest. if you ever want to talk about those painful times, I have an ear and a shoulder.

Hey Schmidty,

I am glad you brought this post up.

I am reminded of my little poodle. He is spoiled & yes he's a lap dog. One day a few months ago, I noticed he was limping on one of his legs. Poor thing, looked like he was uncomfortable. So, me being his 'mommie' went to check his leg out.

This loving little toy poodle, who I know loves his mommie with all his heart did something to my dismay. When I tried to look at his leg, he instinctively turn and 'bit me'. I was in shock. This is the little doggie who follows me everywhere I go & is so protective of me. We took him to the vet. The problem was he had a 'hang nail' or should I say a 'broken claw'. It caused him pain. So, my 'touching it' hit a 'nerve'. And, that is what made this sweet little doggie act that way.

I must say for me that your post 'hit a nerve'. It brought up pain that I thought was no longer there. Thus, for the animalistic reaction. Of which, there was no excuse for. But, it help me to see areas that I need to work on.

I don't know if anyone has ever experienced where you stick a fork in your mouth or maybe eat some ice cream and it cause extreme pain because it hit a nerve in your tooth. I have. It has happened in a tooth that I never thought I had a cavity in. Well, this is what this post did. Even I did not realize the depth of the pain.

Thank you for bringing it to the surface. Maybe, one day I will be able to share some of the examples of the things that I have been through. So that it will help in my healing.

Also, I must say that I have come to love you. I am a straightforward, bold person. And, one thing about us is we like other straighforward, bold people.

Keep up the good work!

Matthew 7, 1-6

Judge not, that ye be judged not

For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged:

and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in your brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that's in your own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and , behold a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, least they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matthew 7, 16-20

Ye shall know them by thier fruits. Do you men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good treebringeth forth good fruit;but acorrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I has to go back and reread these, and in doing so wish to express that I apologize to any and all if what I have written offends you , and apparently some people it does.

It shows how no matter how careful you try to be, someone can look at it in a different way.

Aw.. Nina,

You are so sweet. Your kinds words are about to make me cry.

I am so sorry that a person did that to you. No one should have to endure that. That person should get the electric chair as far as I'm concerned. Or, he should at the minimum get a 'life sentence'. Afterall, when a person is disabled then thats a 'life sentence'. Oh, don't get me started!!!

Your posts always lift me up. They are so inspirational.

The world is a better place because you are in it.

Hi Nina,

You are such a sweet person. I think biracial kids are so beautiful. I could never imagine you being a bigot. Your good heart come across in all your posts.

I'm afraid I was very hasty & mean in my post to schmidty. I have been the victim of much racism. I guess its been too much pain. Still, that was no excuse for my being ugly to him.

Life is strange, one can be so cruel to another person just because of their skin. Then, when that same person gets old or sick they will find that a person of another race 'is their only friend'. People of their own race have long forsaken them. I have seen this many times.

Thank you for your beautiful post. I really appreciate it.

G-d bless you

in response to nini3...   Comment to Nini:---This is exactly what I was hoping for when I answered Schmidty's post yesterday. Although I adamently disagree with most of his opinions and thoughts about black people I do agree with his right to say and publish whatever he feels a need to. The very fact that we can all contribute to such a volitile subject in a calm and civilized way proves that we have come a very long way.We as a nation have got to overcome this very tired and worn out calling of names based on race and cultural background. We have got to start really listening to one another and most of all we have got to start trusting one another and it can't be done over a barrage of name calling which does nothing but waste time and causes hurt among those that are on the recieving end. Schmidty opened up a book of very touchy dialog and I commend him for that because it has really opened my eyes and ears to others opinions and thats what aidpage is all about. love and hugs sheshe030
